I’ve finally caught up with the trend of making “alternative cards” from our Stampin’ Up! kits. There is a fun challenge that I used to follow called “TGIF Challenges.” I came across it again, and the recent sketch inspired me.
I took one full set of ingredients from the recent Life is Sweet Paper Pumpkin kit and set them aside. (IE, I took each of the three cards and all of the intended embellishments and put them all in a big pile.) Then I sorted through the pile and grabbed a few things that caught my attention, thinking in the back of my mind how they would work with the sketch challenge. I also dipped into my extra supplies (die-cuts and what-not) for the label.
The double layer of cherries was inspired by my previous dabbling in decoupage years ago. And of course I had to add my signature bow!
In about ten minutes I had this sweet rendition of a card.
I do have one extra Life is Sweet Paper Pumpkin kit available if you need, first-come-first-served. Just shoot me a message, until I get my web site fixed and the forms function fully working.
