Strawberry Pie for Father’s Day!

This card uses the same layout as yesterday’s card, all with a completely different look.

We made this version during my free Zoom Wednesday Quick and Easy class (which happens every second Wednesday of each month).

Since my Facebook Challenge this month is to use Red, White OR Blue, I wanted to follow along. And since this is Quick and Easy week, I wanted to feature the ephemera, sketches and note cards.

After I looked at the finished card I thought – how can I give Bob a card about pie without giving him actual pie? I need to get him some actual pie, right? Yes!

So it looks like we will be having quite the sweet strawberry treat on Father’s Day, inspired by Stampin’ Up! I used the partial card pieces to create another project – I colored in the flowers with Stampin; Blends.

COLORS

• Real Red, Misty Moonlight, Basic White

MEASUREMENTS

• Card Base 8 1/2″ x 6 1/4″, score in half at 4 1/4″. Cut off 1 1/4: from the bottom of the card front (horizontal view).
• 1/4″ Real Red strip
• 1 1/2″ Misty Moonlight strip

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use pre-scored Note Card Card Base 8 1/2″ x 6 1/4″. Cut off 1 1/4: from the bottom of the card front (horizontal view).
2. Cut a 1/4″ Real Red strip from Note Card of same length. Adhere to card front.
3. Cut 1 1/2″ Misty Moonlight strip of same length. Adhere to bottom of inside of card.
4. Arrange ephemera in a pleasing manner on the front of the card. I used the sketch from the catalg.
5. Add bows and gems.
6. Stamp the inside as desired.

Wrigley is going to give this card to his dad. A sweet treat from a sweet boy. (And I’m going to get us some pie. A sweet treat from a sweet gal LOL).
