Sketch 5 from 24-25 Annual Catalog (Flowers and Textures)

I love following along with sketches, so much so that I’ve decided to create a gallery using the sketches found on page 22 of the Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. You can follow along with me while I use two sketches every month for inspiration.
Today we are focusing on Sketch 5.
In addition to posting here on my blog, I also host a Facebook Live event where you can stamp along with me. Contact me to get on my reminder list for every second Wednesday. And you can access the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog Sketch Series here.
COLORS
Boho Blue
Night of Navy
Shaded Spruce
White
MEASUREMENTS
The measurements, and even the placement of elements on the card, are just a starting point. If you have images that are smaller – use what you have! If you want to move the sentiment to another location or change the size of the banner label, feel free.
- Card base – White
- 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
- 2 7/8” x 3 3/8”
- 1 ¼” x 2 ½”
- Boho Blue – 3” x 4 ¾”
- 1 3/8” x 2 5/8”
- Night of Navy – 3” x 3 ½”
Instructions
- Affix all stamps to acrylic blocks.
- Fold and burnish card base at the score line using bone folder.
- Use the Exposed Brick embossing folder to emboss the large Boho Blue panel. Banner cut each end of this panel
- Attach the panel from Step 3 to the card base at an angle using Tear & Tape. Note – watch your corners of the banner to make sure they do not extend beyond the edges of the card.
- Color the flower spray using Boho Blue marker with a bit of Night of Navy at the base of the flowers. Use a blender pen to soften the Night of Navy. Color the stems and leaves using Shaded Spruce marker. Stamp the image onto the center of the large White card.
- Attach the panel from Step 5 to the Night of Navy panel. Use dimensionals to add the panel to the card front centering on all sides.
- Ink up the cross hatch stamp using Boho Blue. Add some Night of Navy randomly to the stamp. Stamp onto the small White rectangle. Repeat several times until you like the look.
- Glue the rectangle from Step 7 to the small Boho Blue rectangle. Add the rectangle to the card front just slightly below center and on the left side of the card front.
