Sailboat Shutter Card

This card is going “to a cool guy” for his summer-time birthday. Shhh, don’t tell.

It’s based on a card that is part of my Marathon Fun Fold Class (WOW! birthday cards). There are still kits available, and a digital-only version is available too. The digital version has a video, and a pdf with photos with step-by-step instructions.

See below for instructions and for a gallery with other ideas.

COLORS

  • Basic White
  • Night of Navy
  • Basic Black
  • Pool Party

Note: This makes a 6 X 6 card, so you will need an envelope large enough for the finished card.

MEASUREMENTS

  • Card Base Basic White Thick 10″ X 6″
  • (7) Designer Series Paper (DSP) Squares 1 ¾” x 1 ¾”
  • (2) Opening Card Elements cut to 7 ½ X 3 ¾, and scored at 3 ¾
  • (2) Designer Series Paper 3 ½” x 3 ½ “ (for outside layers of the mini-cards)

I love this WOW! Shutter Card. It’s great in any color, using any theme. It’s great to decorate, and/or add photos to personalize it a bit more. This does require a larger envelope and extra postage for shipping – but gosh it’s worth it. It’s like a gift in and of itself.
