Popcorn Matchbook Card

This packet is popping with fun. And it’s easier to make than it looks. Enjoy!

MEASUREMENTS

• Cardstock Card Base 4 ¼” x 9 ½”, score at 1 ½”, 5 ¼”, 5 ½”, 5 ¾”, and 6”
• (2) Designer Series Paper 4” x 1 ¼”, and 4” x 3 ¼”
• Die-cut 2” circle from Stylish Shapes Dies in Basic White
• Stamped and Die-Cut Popcorn Man and Accessories, and the Popcorn Pops
• Magnets
• POPCORN BAGGIE

INSTRUCTIONS

• Cut Cardstock Card Base 4 ¼” x 9 ½”, score at 1 ½”, 5 ¼”, 5 ½”, 5 ¾”, and 6”. Burnish each score line very well.
• Cut (2) Designer Series Paper 4” x 1 ¼”, and 4” x 3 ¼”. PRO TIP: Don’t adhere Designer Series Paper yet.
• Die-cut 2” circle from Stylish Shapes Dies in Basic White
• Stamp,  Die-Cut, fussy cut and assemble Popcorn Man and Accessories. PRO TIP:  Stamp the Popcorn Man twice – once in Strawberry Slush and once in Darling Duckling. Fussy cut the two pieces to build your little man. Add those cute glasses and shoes to finish the look! Use Wink of Stella on the popcorn.
• Die-Cut Popcorn Pops in Basic White. Use Blending Brush and Darling Duckling ink to give the pops a buttery look. Add Wink of Stella to get that glistening effect.
• To assemble the package:  Fold the packet into shape so that you know the orientation. Add one magnet with a Mini-Glue Dot to the inside of the front flap. Align the paired magnet and adhere it to the front of package.
• Adhere Designer Series Paper to the top of the card flap and card front.
• Wrap ribbon along the top flap and tie a nice bow. PRO TIP: Don’t wrap the ribbon all around the closed packet. Just wrap it around the flap.
• Create the Popcorn Baggie insert.
• POPCORN BAGGIE INSERT:
  1. In a food-safe environment with clean hands and clean utensils, add 3 Tablespoons of popcorn kernels to a food-safe baggie. Seal the bag. 
  2. Adhere the bag with the opening in the front (for easiest access). Use tear-n-tape to adhere the baggie to the packet. Leave ⅛” of space between the baggie and the score line for the flap.
  3. PRO TIP:  The popcorn will naturally drop to the bottom of the packet. That’s why we created a few gusset lines to allow for the extra bulk.
  4. OPTIONAL:  Add a label with popping instructions
  5. Fold into shape, letting the magnets seal the packet closed.
• Decorate the front. Add your cute little popcorn man to the circle label and adhere it to the card front. Add popped kernels here or there, including one on the inside. And add some glistening In-Color Pearl gems to make it seem like little droplets of butter are spattering around too.  PRO TIP:  Be careful not to get distracted scrolling when looking up the word spatter on the internet. Ask me how I know.
• Stamp and fussy cut the sentiment. Add it to the front of the flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Don’t forget to save some popcorn for yourself so you can make up a batch!
