Today’s Blog Hop will focus on 3 new projects. I am honored and excited to be partnering with two amazing friends and artists – Tina Newberry and Robbie Rubala. We hope you enjoy the projects, and that your holiday season is filled with hand-made love.
Large Book Box
Measurements and Colors
Cover (front and back)
Cardstock 6” x 11”, score at 4 ¾” and 6 ¼”
Designer Series Paper (2) 4 ½” x 5 ¾”, round two corners of each sheet
Basic White 3” x 3” square
Designer Series Paper for spine 5 ¾” x 1 ¼”
Box
8 ½” x 7 ½”, score 1 ½” all the way around
Designer Series Paper for inside bottom 4 ¼” x 5 ¼”
Basic white 5 ½” x 6”, embossed with Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, for outside edges
Cut to (2) 4 ¼” x 1 ¼”, and (1) 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”
Designer Series Paper for outside edges
Cut to (2) 4 ¼” x 1 ¼”, and (1) 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”
Band
Cardstock 7 ½” x 1 ½” (round all corners)
Designer Series Paper7 ¼” x 1 ¼” (round all corners)

Let’s Create
- Cover (front and back)
- Box
- Cut 8 ½” x 7 ½”, score 1 ½” all the way around. Snip and miter four corners to create tabs. Assemble box by gluing tabs to insides.
- Cut Designer Series Paper for inside bottom 4 ¼” x 5 ¼”. Adhere to the inside bottom.
- Cut Basic white 5 ½” x 6”, embossed with Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, for outside edges
- Cut to (2) 4 ¼” x 1 ¼”, and (1) 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”. Adhere to outside edges of the box.
- Cut Designer Series Paper for outside edges and set aside
- Cut to (2) 4 ¼” x 1 ¼”, and (1) 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”
- Band
- Cut Cardstock 7 ½” x 1 ½” (round all corners)
- Cut Designer Series Paper7 ¼” x 1 ¼” (round all corners). Adhere DSP to the Cardstock. Score at 3” and 4 5/8”
- Score band and adhere band to back of book. Adhere band to front of book.
- Adhere the sheet for the back of the book to cover the tab.
- Decorate the front as shown.
- Create a pull tab on the box.drawer by using a hole punch to punch two holes. Thread ribbon or twine through the holes, and adhere with scotch tape on the inside.
- Cover the outside edges of the book box.
