Here are a few mailing tips:
-Pay for the stamps that allow for an extra ounce (due to thickness)
-Place the cards with the embellishments (pearls, gems, and other bumpy parts) facing TOWARD THE ADDRESS
-If you have a little piece of bubble wrap, with little bubbles, place it on top of the side with the gems
Basically, you want the envelope to be as flat and uniform sized as possible. This is coming from my sister who used to work at the post office and knows how envelopes can get stuck in the automated machines.
To absolutely guarantee that there is no damage, you can put the card in a bubble wrap envelope. But I don’t think you need to go to all of that trouble.
